Flawless looking skin - Glo Cosmetics Review

Today I have a review for you guys!

Glo Minerals Australia sent me a few products to review a few weeks ago, I've used the items a bit so thought now would be a good time to write this review!

Everyone wants flawless skin, but unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to be born with perfect skin, I'm one of them.

Here is what my skin looks like with no makeup (and no photoshop)

Face looks tired, and my skin tone is very uneven.

However, we can cheat a bit to make our skin look flawless without looking like we're wearing any makeup with Glo Pressed Base Foundation!

If I'm applying a pressed based foundation alone, I prefer to use the sponge

This foundation provides sheer coverage but is easily buildable to full coverage. It doesn't look cakey at all, your skin would look very natural and a lot more awake! If you are in a rush and don't have much time to put on makeup, I would definitely recommend using this for the day, very fast on-the-go foundation!

See the difference? I didn't even have to use any concealer at all!

I used Glo Pressed Base Foundation in Golden Light.

Alternatively, you could use this powder to set your liquid foundation by using the Ultra Brush.

I was very pleased with the brush, VERY soft and works really well when picking up product.

Sometimes going out during the day your skin may feel a bit dry, but if you're someone like me who prefers wearing makeup whenever I go out, I don't do anything about it.

Glo Moist Hydration Mist is a great item that allows you to spray on top of your makeup if you want your face to be hydrated. I often suffer from dry skin during the colder seasons, so this item is perfect for me!

Super easy to use too!

Just one spray on your face is enough

Let it dry!

Instantly your face will feel a lot more hydrated!

Japanese Fashion Inspired Photoshoot

12:13:00 AM 16 Comments A+ a-

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago a few friends and I decided to have a fun photoshoot inspired by Japanese fashion at a park! I thought I'd share some of the photos to you guys today!

We unfortunately didn't have too much time to take photos, but we had heaps of fun!

I just set up my camera on a tripod to take most of these photos

First theme we had was the Japanese brand "INGNI" since we all had similar blouses

Our next theme was Liz Lisa!

Janelle is wearing a dress from the Liz Lisa 2012 Spring Collection

Suzanne is wearing my Liz Lisa dress from the 2011 Spring Collection

I'm wearing a blouse from the Liz Lisa 2011 Autumn Collection and suspender shorts from the Liz Lisa Spring 2012 Collection

Hope you guys liked the photos~! I might be doing some more for fun soon!

Snacks from Japan! from 松居ママとパパ

8:01:00 PM 5 Comments A+ a-

Hi everyone!

So just a few days ago I got a package from Japan! It was from the Taiyaki store owners whom I became friends with when I was in Japan ^___^ They sent me a box and filled it with lots of Japanese snacks!

Before I show you guys the stuff they sent me, I want to make this blog post dedicated to them!

I met 松居ママとパパ (Matsui Mama & Papa, our nickname for them haha) when I went to Japan last year. They own a store in Mikuni (Osaka) where they make Taiyaki, Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba. Their store is right next to the hostel where I was staying last year, so every morning I would go down and buy breakfast from them. We only stayed there for a week, but they were really friendly and always talked to us whenever we walked by.

Here is a photo I took with them last year!

And here is a small blog post I wrote last year mentioning them ^^
http://kimdao90.blogspot.com/2011/02/290111-last-day-in-mikuni-hanaten.html

and photos from this year!

We didn't keep in contact with them last time (didn't think that I would go back to Japan anytime soon).

However, I went back to Japan this year and stayed in the same place as I did last year. On my first day back to Japan this year, I walked by their store and decided to stop by for a bit to say hi. They remembered me straight away, remembered where I came from, what my background was and we didn't keep in contact for the whole year! This time we got closer to them, we would walk by every morning to talk to them and they would regularly give us Japanese snacks and little gifts. When we had to leave Osaka, I asked them for their contact email so we can keep in contact. They emailed us almost everyday while we were still in Japan, and even after I left Japan they still contact me regularly!

For those of you who are going to Japan and are going to be going to Osaka, I really recommend you guys to check out their shop, they have made the BEST taiyaki I've ever had.

I told them that I wanted to introduce their shop to you guys, so they wrote a description of their shop ^__^

Here's how to get there:
From 三国阪急駅 (Mikuni Hankyu station), it is about a 5 minute walk. It is located in an undercover shopping street called "サンティフル三国" (Santiful Mikuni). Here is a map:

A slightly more easier one to read:

Credits to Caminoro guest house for the map

The street looks like this:

If you guys have time and you're in Osaka, please go have a look!

Some of their Taiyaki!

Now onto the stuff they gave me:

They also included photos of themselves, some photos of Sakura right now in Japan, and also they each wrote me a letter, so sweet! They asked me if there was anything I liked from Japan, and I told them that I LOVE green-tea kitkat! Because we can't buy green-tea kitkat in Australia, they told me they would send me some snacks!

This is like an egg biscuit I think?

I love this! It's kind of like rice crackers

Ghana Chocolate! I used to have this a lot in Japan

I haven't tried this yet but it looks like a green-tea flavour pocky

Meltykiss greentea! It tastes kinda like dark chocolate

This is like chocolate with almonds in it

These look like just random snacks that comes in different flavours

Some biscuits

This is prawn and ume (Japanese pickled plum) snack. I LOVE umeboshi!

Pocky! We can buy this in Australia but it's a bit expensive

Pretz Salad flavour! This is actually really nice!

Instant Ramen! It looks like it's from Osaka since it's in Osaka-ben haha.

I was so excited with the Green-tea kitkat that I forgot to take a photo of it lol, so here is a screencap from my next video~

Here is a video of me unboxing the package!
