Shu Uemura The Lightbulb Foundation Review

Hi everyone!

For those who have been following for a while would know that my favourite foundation is the Shu Uemura Face Architect Foundation. Last year Shu Uemura released a new foundation called "The Lightbulb". I picked it up from Singapore Changi airport when I was coming back from Paris last year. I got it in 774 Light Beige.

I had eyeliner on my hand and covered it with the foundation. As you can see the foundation has great coverage.

Final verdict:
I do like this foundation, however I would rather stick to my Shu Uemura Face Architect foundation. While this foundation has improved in some ways, I find it to cakey for my liking. The coverage is great so if you're someone that wants more coverage, this would be perfect for you. The beauty blender is great and blends really well, however I don't find myself using it much since it's more time consuming (I just usually use my fingers to blend), and washing it is kinda hard. But anyway!

Pros:
- Great coverage
- Doesn't break me out
- Comes with a blender which works well
- Looks great on Asian skin

Cons:
- Expensive
- Too cakey for my liking

MAC Mineralize Blush Warm Soul Review

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul. I got this blush when I went to San Francisco for about $15! (Which is super cheap compared to Australia, it's more than double the price here :( ) I really wanted a blush from MAC but didn't know which one. I like natural blushes since they go well with almost everything and you can wear it everyday!

I just love how natural it looks!

Pros:
- Super natural and great for everyday wear
- Lasts all day!

Cons:
- Expensive (in Australia, so yeah best to buy it overseas if you're Australian)
- The packaging is kinda not... sturdy enough. If you look at the photo with my MAC lid up, the plastic bit actually fell off and I can't put it back together again :(

Canmake Cream Cheek Blush in 01

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Canmake Cream Cheek Blush in 01. This is actually one of my first Japanese makeup items I owned. I got this blush on my first trip to Japan~ Back then I didn't know anything about Japanese makeup, but I saw a lot of people recommending this on blogs so I decided to get one~

Final Verdict:
This blush is really great in general. It's super cheap and it's one of the more popular Japanese products. You can get these pretty much anywhere in Japan and these are easy to buy online as well. The blush is really pigmented so you can choose to put either a lot of colour on your cheek, or just a tiny bit for a more natural look.

Pros:
- Super cheap! Cost only around $5!
- Great pigmentation
- Can do natural or go more in colour
- Lots of colours to choose from!
- Easy to buy online

Cons:
- Sometimes it's easy to apply too much product on

Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation! I bought this item at a Target in Australia for the Drugstore Prom Makeup tutorial.

Now I know I've said this many times, but Western drugstore makeup is so damn expensive in Australia. That's why I never use it because usually it doesn't suit my skin, and I can find Asian cosmetics online for cheaper. Or I can also buy highend cosmetics online for cheaper. Anyway, I bought this foundation because I really wanted to film a drugstore video for my subbies who were having their proms soon, so I picked this up.

I've used Revlon foundations before, I used to swear by the Revlon Colorstay foundation in the past. However I found that if I used the Revlon Colorstay foundation everyday for about a week, my skin would start to turn red and would break out. So I would use my foundation for about a week, stop for about 2 days and keep going with the cycle. Not the best way to treat your skin. (This was before I went to Japan and discovered Japanese makeup).

Anyway, I have used many Western drugstore foundations before from Maybelline, Rimmel, Covergirl etc.. None of them really suited me because of my Asian skintone. However, Revlon is one of the only foundations that did, so I decided to give Revlon another try~

Be extra careful when you are pumping it out, because it's super easy to pump out way too much

As you can see, it is quite natural and it does even out my skintone perfectly!

Final Verdict:
Overall I actually really like this foundation. I haven't worn this foundation everyday so I can't judge whether or not it will break me out, but wearing it for a full day doesn't. I've been trying to wear makeup less and less lately to let my skin breathe.

Pros:
- Very natural, great for everyday wear
- It looks great in photos and in videos too!

Cons:
- Expensive in Australia (cost me around $35 for it)
- The packaging is a bit hard to use.. it's really easy to pump out too much foundation

Innisfree Mineral Melting BB Cushion Review

Hi guys!

Today I'm going to be reviewing an item that I have fallen in love with latley... the Innisfree Mineral Melting BB Cushion!

I never really got into Korean cosmetics, I actually used to buy Korean cosmetics a lot more than Japanese ones, but I had really bad experiences so then I stopped using Korean cosmetics for a while. Back when BB creams first came out, everyone was raving about them so I also decided to jump on the bandwagon and try them out. Unfortunately for me, BB creams didn't suit my skin at all and just made me look sick because of the grey undertones. I tried a few different BB creams but they just didn't work, so I stayed away from Korean cosmetics for a few years.

However, after getting on Youtube and making friends with a lot of Korean youtubers, they will tell me to try out a lot of Korean cosmetics. I watched their hauls and reviews and decided to give Korean cosmetics another chance. This time, I just fell in love with them. I don't know if it was because I didn't know how to apply makeup properly back then, or if I Korean cosmetics have just really improved... but whatever it is, it's working well for me!

So this item has a sponge which is the "cushion" and it is soaked in the foundation which lies underneath the sponge. You use the sponge at the front and press on the sponge underneath to give yourself some product.

Final Verdict:
As you can see, this item blends so perfectly into my skin. I was so surprised when I tried it, I wasn't expecting it to be this good! I am definitely going to check out more Korean BB creams from now on!

Pros:
- Light/medium coverage but is buildable
- Very natural, looks like you're wearing no makeup!


Cons:
- It does start to oxidize throughout the day so you may have to carry it around with you to do touchups.
