Hey guys!

It's been quite a while! I've been so busy again with things going on so I haven't had the chance to blog properly in a while :( However I've been trying to get at least one video up each week so hopefully you guys understand! I'll probably make another blog post soon about random things I've been up to lately! haha.

Anyway it's been a while since I've done a Japan post, so today I'm going to blog about my day in Shinsaibashi at the start of this year! This is going to be a very pic-heavy post haha. I went a bit shutter-happy that day with my camera. I also vlogged around here too so I will try get more Japan vlogs up soon!

It was our last day in Osaka since we were going to head to Tokyo the next day. We were going to go and meet up with some friends all day at Shinsaibashi, so we headed out early in the morning.

Taiyaki for breakfast!

Headed to Mikuni station~

Transferred at Umeda Station

Ticket says "Umeda"

We went to Namba station instead, since Shinsaibashi is literally a LONG street full of shopping. Namba is towards the end of the street so we decided to start from there and walk up the street. We met up with some friends and just decided to hang around Namba walk which is an underground shopping center.

Cheap shoes!!

Only like $20 each!

The wig head things scare me

A shop selling adorable accessories/clothes for dogs!

Totoro~

Got out of Namba Walk and decided to walk down the Shinsaibashi street.

This is my favourite sock shop! It's cheap too! 3 pairs of socks for only 1050yen! If you show your passport as well, you get 10% off! (for non-Japanese passports only).

The crab street, lol. I stayed near here when I was in Japan last year

I stuffed up the photo, lol. Wrong leg up

Shinsaibashi shopping street~

While walking through the street, we saw a dog with it's ears dyed pink? It's a cute dog but I kind of feel sorry for it :(

So much food!

What I had for lunch~

After that we walked around America-mura which is like an "American Town". They have stores for different kinds of western brands here. You also find a lot of shops here selling hip-hop style clothing.

I don't know why this shop has the name "Gross" lol. It's a clothing store

Found some Engrish

We then went to a shopping mall in Shinsaibashi, it's similar to Shibuya109. I can't remember what it's called though

They have a W♥C shop there

We were walking around all day and were all super tired, so we decided to go to a cafe to chill while waiting for another friend to meet us. Decided to head back to the Shinsaibashi street and went to Excelsior Caffe.

I was super tired and just fell asleep in the cafe lol.

As you can see, if I'm sleeping, I don't like being woken up lol.

Anyway, my friend came by after work!

Ayaka! She was working in Australia 2 years ago but is back in Japan now.

Sooooo random, but I ran into one of my classmates who studied Japanese with me back in Australia in Shinsaibashi just a few minutes later! We had no idea that either of us were there! hahahah.

Since my classmate had a group with her, we all decided to hang out~ Went to Purikura!

The sign is just saying that girls can take photos together. Guys cannot take photos unless if they are with another girl.

After that we went to dinner~ Because we were poor from shopping too much, we went to a super cheap udon restaurant lol.

Still tasted good! I was still hungry after that though, so I went to a convenience store after to buy some cheap snacks.

One more photo of Ayaka and I ~

That's all for now! My next few Japan posts will be about TOKYO!

d'aww kim, i know how you feel about being woken up, though i'm in a sour mood for a while after. about how long is shinsaibashi (can't even remember the name, it's long)? i was in nyc this past week, did some walking and got a bit tired too, but i was far too distracted to nap.so, did guys USED to be able to take purikura by themselves, or was this sort of before the fact? so glad i'm not a guy...lol. those wig heads are quite creepy though >_>, like who would think that's cool or soothing to look at for any amount of time. also, as a sock love myself, i'm envious; socks can get really expensive.

hahaha, yeah I'm definitely not a morning person :P I have no idea how long Shinsaibashi is, but I can spend the whole day there and I won't get bored xD I think it's because it's usually girls taking purikura, and in Japan they have stores just dedicated to purikura and guys just go into perve on them, so that's why they have that rule (I think). haha yeah I never thought I would get into buying socks but after going to Japan I always buy them now xD

Hi Kim, I've been to Osaka a few months ago and I can't tell you how much I miss Japan >.< To browse your pictures is like being back in time and although it makes me feel sad and melancholic, I appreciate it a lot. It means a lot to me to see other people feeling the same and experiencing the same as I did/do. The feeling you get when you're in Japan can't be put into words. Thank you for sharing my passion and remembering me why I want to learn japanese (it's so hard-.-). You are a great inspiration xxx
