Today I'm going to be reviewing another one of my favourite mascaras ever! This one is the Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara (Waterproof Type). These came in 2 different types, Waterproof and Film type. I personally like the Film type better because I feel that it lenghtens better than the waterproof type, however this one is still really good! The problem is.. I have no idea where to buy Fairy Drops anymore in Japan :( I used to buy them in PLAZA but they stopped selling Fairy Drops. Went to the website and tried different stores that said they sold Fairy Drops at... but no where to be found :( I asked one of the staff at a Donkihote if they knew why they stopped selling and she said she didn't even realize. If anyone knows where I can buy Fairy Drops mascaras please let me know because I really want to get some more T_T
Anyway the packaging is really nice
And the wand is curved which makes it easier to apply
Left eye: No mascara, Right eye: mascara
Both eyes with mascara
Makes quite a difference!
Final Verdict:
I love this mascara because it lenghtens well and also adds volume. I find it hard to find mascaras that will lengthen my short lashes so I find Asian mascaras work the best for me. It just sucks how I can't find these anywhere anymore! It is definitely one of my all time favourite mascaras!
Pros:
- Lengthens well and gives good volume
- Easy to remove
Cons:
- SO hard to find!
- Expensive in Japan (close to $20) but I got this one in Hong Kong for around $11
- Dries out quite quickly
You can purchase the mascara from the links below:
A few weeks ago I uploaded my Japanese Makeup Haul video on my channel! Usually when I go to Japan I spend SO much money on makeup! I find that Japanese makeup is really cheap but also really good quality. Here are the items that I bought when I was in Japan! Some of the best Japanese makeup items!
If you guys haven't seen the video yet, it is at the bottom of this blog post, but for now I am going to blog about the items I bought!
Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Eyeliner
I bought the eyeliner last year in Japan but this year it was released with a lid! It's SOO cute that I had to get it! I reviewed the eyeliner last year and I really did like it, but I found that it did dry up much quicker than my other eyeliners :(
I decided to buy a bunch of makeup from the 100 yen store! I've never tried it before so I decided to buy a whole bunch so I can film a 100yen makeup challenge! hehe.
I absolutely loved the Herione Make Long & Curl Mascara so I decided to try the volume version! Unfortunately I didn't like the volume one as much, the long and curl one is so much better!
They also came out with a super waterproof version so I was interested to try it out. To be honest I don't really recommend this because it's even harder to remove and the volume one isn't great :(
I got these because I wanted to do more of a gyaru makeup look. I don't really use bottom lashes much because I find they make me look just a bit creepy! But these ones are more natural!
I got this in Japan but it's a Greek brand. I absolutely LOVE this! You can use it as a blush as well as a lipbalm, super moisturizing and love the pigmentation!
I got this eyeliner at the airport! I wasn't planning on buying Jill Stuart makeup but I had a lot of time at the airport so I decided to go check it out. I tried out this gel eyeliner and I LOVED how creamy it was so I just had to get it!
I really wanted to get rid of my blackheads so I decided to try out the Biore nose strips! Haven't actually tried them out yet though so hope they are good!
Today I'm going to be reviewing one of my favourite mascaras, the Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara! I got this mascara when I was in Hong Kong a while ago, I went back to Japan a year later and wanted to buy another one... but unfortunately they are no where to be found anymore in Japan T____T Maybe they were just low on stock everywhere.. but yeah I think I'll have to buy these online now :(
It comes in a purple tube
I absolutely love the brush because you're able to grab onto all your lashes!
Applying mascara~
Right eye - with primer (Majolica Majorca Bone Black Fiber Primer)
Left eye - No primer
As you can see in the photo, the lengthening is REALLY good without a primer. I definitely recommend this mascara, and will have to find an online site that sells these for cheap!
Final Verdict:
Pros:
- Very good lengthening and volume
- Very easy to remove (hot water is enough)
Today I'm going to review one of my favourite mascaras! The Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara!
A lot of people recommended me to try out Fairy Drops mascaras, but I never did because I thought they were all quite expensive. However when I went to Hong Kong, I found that the Fairy Drops mascaras are half the price that they cost in Japan! So I picked up a few different ones~
Packaging is simple but cute!
Lashes without mascara
Applying mascara~ I forgot to take a photo of the brush, but it's one of the best mascara brushes I have used! it is curved which is perfect for reaching for all of your lashes.
As you can see, made a big difference to my lashes! It made them look a lot more longer and a lot more full!
Pros:
- If you can buy it in HK, it is only around $10 (it's around $20 in Japan)
- Brush is curved so it's super easy to get all your lashes
- Very easy to remove
- Is perfect for a natural look
Cons:
- Even though lengthening is quite good, it isn't the best
Overall it's one of my favourite mascaras that I use almost daily! it is so easy to remove at the end of the day which is a HUGE plus for me since I don't like spending a lot of time removing my makeup after I finished work. I definitely recommend this mascara to everyone!
