09/01/11 Japan Day 1 ~ Harajuku/Shibuya 原宿と渋谷

I'm afraid that I'm just going to keep falling behind on schedule so will try to keep my blog updates daily so I won't forget anything >< But anyway, on the way from Singapore to Japan I got to ride in the Airbus A380 plane with Singapore Airlines! It was a double decker plane, but since we had 3 people we had to sit in the lower deck :( But it was still good, the foot space was a lot more so it was more comfortable. Unfortunately I didn't get much sleep because of some kids behind me who kept talking..

The sunrise looked so nice from up in the sky.. I wish I had taken this on my DSLR but I didn't want to take it out :(

Our plane!

So we finally landed...

Excited for being in Japan!

First thing we did was got changed since it's SO COLD in Japan :( We got through immigration pretty fast, but as soon as we got out of the airport, we just stood around thinking "What do we do now? O_O" We managed to find our way and caught the train down to the place we're staying.

Because it was so cold I got sick on the first day. I didn't really do much cos I was sick so I was too tired to take photos. We got to the place where we stay and we just put our luggage down, and then headed to Harajuku.

Walked around a bit for a bit in Harajuku to buy some clothes at Uniqlo, then kept walking and arrived at Shinjuku. This place has SO many people, the road crossings there are hundreds of people who walk across every time

Didn't get a chance to go in Shibuya 109 yet, but will go sometime next week perhaps

The famous Hachiko statue

Went into Forever 21 and this place is HUGE! It had 6 floors full of clothes and accessories. I ended up buying a pair of boots for around 2000yen which is around $25AUD.

We just kept walking around Shibuya until we went back to our place to have dinner and rest up.

We ended up going to a 100yen convenience store to buy our dinner HAHA. It was only like 320 yen for this?

Oh, and also, if you ever need tissues in Japan, just walk aorund the streets and find people handing out advertisements. They usually hand it out in a tissue packet. Since I'm still sick right now with a cold these would come in handy!
